The Baboon Show has managed to knock over press, colleagues and listeners in recent years, thanks to great releases and even more great live shows. After countless concerts and tours the band is rightfully considered one of Europe’s most exciting and best live acts.

Radio Rebelde, produced by Pelle Gunnerfeld (The Hives, Randy), is full of passion and sweat and shows a clear development of the band without losing the bands trademarks in sound and songwriting. The Stockholm band The Baboon Show has been giving us their punk rock music for almost 15 years now and they released a whole lot of great songs – and albums for that matter – during that time. The Baboon Shows fanbase has grown constantly through the years and it will grow even more after Radio Rebelde. It should do anyway.

The first release from the album, the single Same old story is a ridiculously good song. It is angry and melodious and it’s easy to get caught up with it and raise your fist… And Cecilia Boström’s voice fits just perfectly with this punk rock music. The album kicks off with the title track Radio Rebelde, which is a very very good start. It’s melodic punk rock – with a little emphasis on rock – which is like pure poison. And the chorus is just so good you wanna pump up the volume immediately and listen to it over and over again. With such a start, and with the single Same old story, my expectations expectations for the rest of the album are super high. But The Baboon Show will not disappoint anyone. You can look for a weak track, but if you do you are going to be very disappointed, cause this album only contain killer songs.

Best Tracks? “Radio Rebel”, “Same old story”, “No afterglow”, “All of me” and “War”. It must be enough to mention five… but there will be six. You can’t miss “Walk my way” either. Another song that you just have to mention is “Hurray”. The Baboon Show goes AC/DC! (Rockfarbror)
